The sweltering days of summers are upon us and its getting hotter by the day. The biggest dilemma the girls are facing in this season is how to look their best even in this heat. Some simple tips and tricks would help you achieve your heart’s desire and would help you embrace your natural beauty and glow.
KEEP YOUR MAKEUP TO A MINIMUM:
During the hot summer days, wearing a lot of makeup would only make you uncomfortable and your skin tight and constricted. This summer, apply only a minimum amount of makeup and let your skin breath. Use a little BB cream or, the more recent, CC cream instead of your regular foundation to achieve the desired amount of coverage without compromising your natural look. Use very light and neutral eyeshadows to enhance your natural eye contour. Dark shadows would appear harsh in the summer heat. Use eyelash curler to curl your lashes before applying a thick coat of waterproof mascara and you are good to go.
APPLY SUNSCREEN WHENEVER YOU GO OUT:
Although sunscreen does not necessarily prevent tanning but it does help in the long run by inhibiting sunspots and freckles. It also helps in protection against skin cancer and other skin diseases by protecting skin against harmful UV rays. Use high quality sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30-50, each time you go out.
DO NOT USE HEAT STYLING ON YOUR HAIR:
Summers are all about embracing your natural self. Avoid using flat irons and all other forms of heat styling products during summer. Contrary to what you might believe, your natural hair texture can always be stylish if treated with proper care. Oil your hair regularly to keep it from drying out. Use a good conditioner after shampooing and put in a little serum in damp hair before letting it air dry. This would reduce the frizz, give your hair extra gloss and shine and eliminate the need of any heat styling. Additionally, you can also put up your hair in a high ponytail or messy buns to look trendy without putting any strain on your hair.
WEAR TRENDY AND LIGHT CLOTHING:
Choose vibrant and lively colors but be careful not to wear shades that are too flashy. Choose dresses that are comfortable and light as well as trendy. Wearing dresses that are too heavy with lots of details can become wearisome in the summer heat.
Use only a little jewelry and avoid using ornaments that are flashy and draw attention. Use little ear studs instead of long earrings and put in metal or wood bangles. Wear stylish sunglasses that compliment your dress as well as protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.
Healthy and proper diet supersedes all else when it comes to looking good and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Drink plenty of water and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Exercise regularly, join a gym or simply jog around your neighborhood. Do not expect immediate results but remember that slow and steady wins the race.
In the end, it all boils to whatever you feel comfortable and beautiful in. Last but not the least, smile because your smile is the best accessory that you can use to look beautiful and guess what? It’s free of cost!!
